This was easy to install. I made one small error in the placement of the catch. This is not a lock that will stop anyone from kicking in a door (it is on my basement door) but it works well for daily use of keeping the door locked but allowing entry when needed. Good quality metal. Throw could be a little longer when open. Installed on a door 2”+ thick. Had to hack saw the spline coming through the door rather than use pliers (odd instruction).
