Very smooth rotation; no noticeable bearing drag whatsoever; swivels freely under load and without load. Has seen a decent amount of exposure to sand and salt water since purchase, but no appreciable wear noticeable. Just rinsde it down with fresh water after exposure to corrosive/gritty environment.
